City of Fort Lauderdale Lobby Art Gallery

A photograph exhibit by Frank Polanco hosted by and shown in the Lobby Gallery at Fort Lauderdale City Hall.

… every bird is born with their own song.

We are pleased to announce FEATHERS, an exciting new eclectic photography exhibition by Frank Polanco which will be on view in the Lobby Art Gallery at

Fort Lauderdale City Hall 100 N Andrews Ave Fort Lauderdale from October 6, 2020 thru November 16 2020. The exhibit features some of our own Florida fauna.

The series FEATHERS is a collection of various size digital images of some of our own local fauna as they were captured by Frank right here in our own backyards. Some of the images displayed in the exhibit have become public art in the City of Oakland Park and the City of Pompano Beach. The images have been plastered on sad looking and often vandalized Utility Boxes around these cities, making them more appealing to the naked eye.

Frank Polanco is an artist, digital photographer and art curator whose artistic goal is to

communicate a message of hope and love for nature. Frank approaches photography

as a documentarian. He takes pleasure knowing that his images invite people to

immerse themselves in that moment in time. Frank considers photography a critical

aspect of the society in which we live. An image has the capability of educating. Without

it we are left only with spoken and written word.

Proceeds from the sales will benefit Save A Sato, a non profit organization / dog shelter in Frank’s native Puerto Rico. Save A Sato rescues, rehabilitate, gives much love and find homes to hundreds of street dogs and cats yearly in the island. This is an organization dear to Frank where he has been a volunteer for many years.
