ABACO SHELTER VISIT - May 28, 2022
On Saturday June 28th, 2022 I and my partner in crime Maria Eugenia Gaspari boarded a Cesna 340 piloted Ben Nemser owner of Catalina Aerospace. We embarked on our mission journey to visit the Abaco Shelter in the Bahamas. This is our first visit since our trip to the island in after hurricane Dorian. With typical may weather looming in the skies Ben was able to get us there and back safely.
Upon our arrival Chris and Molly Roberts, volunteers at Abaco Shelter were waiting for us to take us the shelter.
Due to weight restrictions we were only able to bring some flea and tick medication.
We spent must of her short day at the shelter meeting they alumni. They were all very friendly and playful with others a bit shy.
Their humble shelter sits in an isolated land off a main road. However the dogs have all of their necessities met, food , clean water, shelter and lots of love.
After our visit we stop at Colors where we met with other friends for a quick bite to eat before taking our flight back to Opalocka.
